Pink & Powder Blue Cusine

Welcome,

To start with this blog started off as a place where I could post recipes for safe keeping when I was in Wellington/Christchurch.

It has become even more handy latterly, as I now live in Tampa, FL (USA).

Have a little browse and I would love it if you left a comment. They are fun to read and also it lets us know where vistors of the blog are from!

Note:

I try to make most of these recipes measure ingredients in cups, tablespoons, dessertspoons and teaspoons as I feel it is a faster and easier method of baking (I like it...it feels more homely and less fuss...plus some flat kitchens aren't equipped with scales), however some recipes do require exact measurements or are not easily measured in cups etc. therefore scales are required.

* Vanilla Essence = Good Quality Vailla Extract

I use good quality real vanilla extract, which still has a vanilla bean floating in the bottle. If you are using imitation (which I don't recommend because I don't belive it tastes half as good) use only half the measurement given in these recipes. The imitation delivers a much stronger artifical taste when too much is added. This overpowers any other flavour in the baking
